1. Water is absorbed through the concrete because drains are blocked or the roof hasn’t got any slopes

2. Bad insulation

  • Check that your rain water pipes are not blocked due to dirt and the water can escape through the drains.
  • Check that your house roof has the right slopes for the water to escape through the drains.
  • Advice a specialist for your house insulation. Any variation that occurs on your roof after insulating it e.g. placement of solar panels, may cause damages to the insulation.

1. Snow, dirt, birds nests or even grease when cooking various food
2. Fireplace is constructed after the construction of the rest of the house

ADVICE TO AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGES
  • Yearly cleaning before Winter time from technicians with special equipment in order to remove all dirt internally
  • Ask for advice from an expert regarding the construction of your fireplace or your BBQ’S duct.
  • This is critical because the diameter of the duct is essential for the ventilation and the duct’s ‘hat’ (cap) as well. The hat must also be constructed in a way that rain cannot enter the house.
POSSIBLE DAMAGE COST:

In the case of fire, damage can reach up to the sum insured. It is critical to ensure the maintenance and cleaning of your fireplace before winter time, to avoid losing your cover. You may lose your cover due to the lack of maintenance and by not ensuring that your fireplace is in well condition for its use.

We can cover the damage due to frost up to €2,000, only if you add on your contract the additional cover regarding this specific damage.

The mechanical equipment has a certain lifetime according to its use. According to our contract we will replace the equipment due to failure or malfunction but not due to wear. The lifetime for a water pressurizing unit is approximately 10 years, for the solar panels 20 years and for other accessories like ventilation and measuring accessories up to 5 years.

  • Locating the point of escape from €200 to €500
  • Day works for repairing leakage €30 per hour

Select the additional cover of locating the point of escape of water on domestic pipes on your home contract. In the case you have not selected the above mentioned cover we will only cover the damages caused from the leakage. In addition to that, you can choose the additional cover of accidental breakage of sanitary fixtures where we can provide cover up to €500 per item and €2,000 in total.
