Technical Support Engineer (Limassol)

The IT department’s role is to establish and maintain all communication systems and equipment as required by regulations, customers and the company management. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be:

  • Undertaking major IT projects
  • Following up with latest technologies and Information-Technology-related legislation
  • Proactively managing the Company’s needs in terms of software and hardware
  • Closely coordinating with the Head of Departments and managerial staff
  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware & software faults
  • Participating in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate record of hardware and software
  • Providing daily support to IT-related requests
  • Acting as a liaison and coordinator of all IT-related vendors
  • Acting as a liaison and coordinator of all maintenance vendors (Generator, Air-Conditioners, Lifts, Electricians, etc.)
  • Performing physical monitoring of services provided by all vendors
  • Travelling to company branches, island-wide, as to provide support, when required
  • Participating in training and coaching sessions for Continuous Learning and Development

 

Requirements:

  • Technical school leaving certificate or university degree in Information Technology
  • Knowledge of hardware and peripherals
  • Knowledge of Networking & Cisco Telephony, CCNA Certification will be considered an advantage
  • Windows Server 2008 configuration
  • Knowledge of Java and HTML
  • Knowledge of IT Ticketing will be considered an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek
  • Must have flexibility and adaptability
  • Willing to learn new technologies and techniques
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required
